Have you been told that your teeth are too damaged to repair? Do you have a denture that you have to take out at night? Then All-on-4® Dental Implants could be the right choice for you and your smile. The All-on-4® treatment protocol enables a minimum number of implants to support an entire row of permanent teeth. This state-of-the-art treatment can even be accomplished in a single day!
About All-on-4® Dental Implants
Unlike a conventional denture, All-on-4® Dental Implants are strong and durable and do not move, slip, or cause damage to the gums. The replacement teeth are secured to the implants, giving you increased chewing and biting force. All-on-4® Dental Implants can also withstand chewing forces that a denture is not able to withstand over a long period of time. The long-term benefits make All-on-4® Dental Implants a great investment for replacing multiple teeth without the need for a conventional denture.
The All-on-4® treatment was invented for patients with moderate to severe bone loss. If you have been told in the past that you do not have enough bone for implants, All-on-4® Dental Implants may be right for you. If you suffer from periodontal disease and bone loss, one of our dentists can virtually measure the width and depth of the bone on a 3D cone beam image of your jawbone to determine if there is sufficient bone available for All-on-4® Dental Implants. To find out if you are a candidate, schedule your complimentary implant consultation with your Tennessee Family Dental dentist.
The Process
Step 1: Complimentary Consultation
Every All-on-4® case begins with a one-on-one consultation with your Tennessee Family Dental dentist. At this consultation, your dentist will take a 3D cone beam image of your jawbone, discuss your treatment goals, create a customized treatment plan detailing cost and timeline, and go over sedation options. This appointment usually takes 30 minutes.
Step 2: 3D Planning Process
Your Tennessee Family Dental dentist will use our state-of-the-art computer software to virtually simulate the placement of the implants. We will show you the planned position of the implants on our software before your implant placement procedure is scheduled.
Step 3: Dental Implant Placement
This is your smile transformation day! During a three-to-four-hour appointment, the implants are placed and a custom temporary bridge is connected to the implants. You will leave our office with a completely new smile.
Step 4: Healing Phase
For the next 3 months, your implants will be in the healing phase, and you will have several follow-up appointments at no additional cost to you. This recovery period following your dental implant procedure allows the bone and the implants to fuse together as one. A soft food diet is recommended during the first couple weeks of the healing phase.
Step 5: Permanent Porcelain Teeth Delivery
Hang in there, almost finished! Once your dental implants have fully healed, our dentists will remove your temporary teeth and replace them with your new permanent porcelain teeth. These natural-looking teeth will be securely fastened to the implants and can only be removed by your dentist at our office. You will walk out of our office with the smile of your dreams.
